Gloria Frausto

“I began studying photography in 1975 at the renowned Casa de Lago Photography Workshop, under the direction of Maestro Lázaro Blanco. In 1978, I took a nude photography workshop taught by French photographer Lucien Clergue.

In 1978, I was one of the artists whose work was exhibited at the First Latin American Colloquium on Contemporary Photography at the Museum of Modern Art, organized by the newly formed Mexican Council of Photography. I collaborated with the Council until the early 1990s. From 1975 to 1990, I participated in 30 group exhibitions that were shown both in our country and abroad. From 1982 to 1989, I had five solo exhibitions.”

Tania Pastrana

Tania Pastrana was born in Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Documenting the city's museums with photographs is how she began her career, becoming self-taught, and a founding member of Taller CHINUNI, a space for artistic residency exchange.

Being from Oaxaca is a commitment. Her photographic vision, focused on documentary photography, has been influenced by the culture of her state and captured in digital or 35mm analog photography, showcasing the artistic, folkloric, and identity aspects of the state's diverse regions. In short, her work is an anthropological and artistic record of a community.
