Divine Impressions: Italian Masters to Detroit Voices traces the evolution of Christian themes in Italian painting from the 14th to the 16th century, focusing on the Madonna and Child motif. Reproductions by Adrienne Willis of masterpieces from the Detroit Institute of Arts are paired with contemporary works by local artists, co-curated by Willis and Bri Hayes. The modern pieces reflect religious iconography, motifs, and Renaissance materials and techniques.
