What do you design? We make functional sculpture and other works of art.

Where are you from? We were both born and raised in Detroit.

How long have you been working as a designer? zuckerhosen was formed in early 2015

Why do you design? To remove the boundaries between sculpture and the utilitarian, distorting preconceived hierarchical notions of art and design.

How does working in/around Detroit influence your work? Detroit possesses a beautiful brutal honesty in both its environment and its aesthetic. It is constantly transforming and reforming, referencing the past while simultaneously looking to the future. Our work embodies that spirit, as it continues to inform us. We embrace what Detroit has imprinted on and within us, which is evident in the kinesthetic fingerprint throughout our work.
